Mimi's Cajun Cafe Menu
Mimi’s Cajun Café & Catering — born in Houston’s Historic Third Ward, rooted in love, and built to honor a grandmother who could make anyone feel at home at her table. When Mimi passed in April 2016, she left behind more than memories — she left behind recipes. The kind passed down without measurements, learned by watching, tasted by heart. Her grandson opened Mimi’s Cajun Café to keep those flavors alive and share them with Houston: bold Louisiana-inspired Cajun cooking, seasoned with Chicago influence, and served with the warmth of a family kitchen. Every plate tells a story. Scooby's Cajun Oxtail Plate, named for Mimi's youngest son. BoBoo's Boudin Plate, named for her late husband. Sandra's Stuffed Catfish, Shorty's Gumbo, slow-simmered and rich with memory.
